Remuneration: £27,000 – basic (including initial guarantees) plus Car Allowance, with nearly 30% commission with no validation and an OTE £35,000 – £50,000

Our client is a well-established and highly respected independent estate agency and mortgage brokerage firm with a strong presence across Hertfordshire, North and East London. With over 20 years of experience, they have built a substantial client base and are now expanding their team to meet growing demand.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a part or fully CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified Trainee Mortgage Broker to join our client’s team in Cheshunt. You will be based within one of their busy estate agencies, providing expert mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional mortgage and protection advice to clients, including residential mortgages, life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and buildings and contents insurance.
- Build strong relationships with clients and estate agency staff to generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct thorough needs analyses to understand client requirements and recommend suitable mortgage and protection solutions.
- Process mortgage applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to clients on the progress of their applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest mortgage and protection market trends and product developments.
- Contribute to the overall success of the estate agency and mortgage brokerage business.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- At least CeMAP 1 qualification (full CeMAP or equivalent preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems and other relevant software.
- Full UK driving licence and clean credit history.
- No criminal convictions.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in a sales or customer service role.
- Knowledge of the local property market.
