Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to join a well-respected national chain of estate agents in Colchester. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a fully CeMAP qualified professional to provide whole-of-market mortgage advice and access a panel of six life companies for mortgage-related protection products. As a Mortgage Advisor in Colchester, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their mortgage options while working within an established and successful office, providing whole-of-market mortgage advice, ensuring clients secure the best deals for their needs.
Main Duties:
As the Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker based in Colchester, you will collaborate closely with a market-leading estate agency team. You will be responsible for managing 8-10 new mortgage appointments weekly, in addition to receiving new leads daily. Your role will also include full access to an existing client base within the Colchester area.
In this dynamic Colchester market, where average property values are around £380k and can reach up to £700k, you will be integral in supporting clients with their mortgage needs. The local property market is thriving, with approximately 128 properties sold per month, providing a wealth of opportunities for a motivated Mortgage Advisor.
You will have the flexibility to offer whole-of-market mortgage solutions and a range of protection products. Our client offers a competitive basic salary, excellent commission structures (ranging from 10% to 25%), and bonuses for achieving specific targets.
Key Skills:
📝 Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker.
🎓 CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
🔍 Strong knowledge of mortgage products and protection solutions.
👥 Ability to work independently within the Colchester branch.
📞 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
