We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Corporate Finance to join our prestigious client in Islington, London. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
- Financial Management:
- Manage all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Ensure the company’s financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Conduct financial risk management and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of finance team members.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations on financial matters.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other department heads to drive the company’s financial goals.
- Corporate Governance:
- Ensure robust corporate governance practices are in place and adhered to.
- Oversee internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Lead M&A activities including financial due diligence, valuation, and integration.
- Evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic investments.
- Negotiate terms and manage post-acquisition integration processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record in financial management and strategic planning.
- Experience with M&A activities is highly desirable.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
