We are seeking an experienced Protection Advisor to operate on a home-based, self-employed basis, supporting a strong network of Mortgage Advisors across Cheltenham and the wider Gloucestershire region.
This role provides the perfect blend of autonomy, flexibility and high earning potential, backed by a strong supply of warm protection opportunities every month.
With 30–40 warm mortgage leads per month, plus full access to a large existing client backbook, you will have consistent demand for protection advice from day one—allowing you to grow your income quickly with no need for cold calling or self-generation.

Key Responsibilities
In this Cheltenham-based Protection Advisor role, you will provide expert advice across the full suite of protection products, including life insurance, critical illness, income protection and family protection plans.
You will conduct detailed fact-finds, identify client needs, offer tailored recommendations and manage cases from application through to completion.
You will work remotely with both new and existing clients, revisiting the extensive backbook to identify gaps in protection cover and offer suitable solutions.
Maintaining high compliance standards, delivering outstanding customer service and supporting introducers with consistent communication will be key to your long-term success.
Ideal Candidate
To excel in this role, you must have proven experience giving protection advice, ideally with strong conversion rates and a clear record of delivering positive client outcomes.
RO5 is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your understanding of protection products, ability to communicate clearly, and confidence advising clients remotely.
You must be self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently from home, with a strong sense of responsibility and a client-first approach.
