Cameron James Professional Recruitment is pleased to be representing an award-winning national mortgage and protection business within the Just Mortgages group, now seeking an experienced Protection Advisor to join their expanding team on a home-based, self-employed basis.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Protection Advisor who wants full flexibility, no office constraints, high-quality warm leads and the ability to build long-term, recurring income from a large existing client base.
With 30–40 warm mortgage leads per month supplied directly from active Mortgage Advisors, plus access to a substantial backbook of existing customers, you will benefit from a consistent and sustainable flow of protection opportunities—without the need for self-generation.
This home-based role is ideal for a confident, motivated protection specialist who wants independence, strong earnings and complete control over their working patterns.

Key Responsibilities
As a home-based Protection Advisor in Milton Keynes, you will provide whole-of-market protection advice across a range of products including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, mortgage protection and family protection.
You will conduct detailed fact-finds, assess client needs, recommend suitable solutions and manage the application process from start to finish—all while delivering exceptional customer service.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, revisit the extensive client backbook to uncover protection opportunities and collaborate with Mortgage Advisors to ensure timely follow-ups and high conversion rates.
Maintaining up-to-date compliance knowledge and ensuring all advice is given with accuracy and fairness will also be central to your success.
Ideal Candidate
To excel in this home-based Protection Advisor role, you should have proven experience in protection advice with a strong track record of client outcomes and conversion success.
RO5 is desirable but not essential. You should understand FCA expectations within protection advice, including documentation, treating customers fairly and suitability standards.
Strong communication skills, the ability to build rapport remotely, and a consultative, customer-first approach are essential. You should be highly self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing your workload independently from home.
