BDM Recruitment is seeking a driven and motivated individual to join a leading North London mortgage broker firm as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor or Trainee Mortgage Broker. What You’ll Do:
- Become a Whole of Market Mortgage Advisor: Embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to become a fully qualified, CeMAP accredited mortgage advisor.
- Provide Expert Mortgage Advice: Assist clients in the North London area, offering whole of market advice on mortgages and protection products, both face-to-face and virtually.
- Focus on Shared Ownership Mortgages: Gain in-depth expertise in shared ownership mortgages, a key area of focus for this role.
- Develop Strong Client Relationships: Build trust and rapport with clients, guiding them through the mortgage process and ensuring their needs are met.
- Work with New Build Developers: Partner with local new build developers to qualify leads, arrange consultations, and offer expert mortgage advice.
- Maintain Strong Introducer Relationships: Foster positive relationships with new build salespeople and other introducers.
- Offer Protection Products: Explain the benefits of associated protection products (life insurance, critical illness cover, etc.) and help clients choose the right options.
What You Bring:
- Part or Fully CeMAP Qualified (or actively pursuing): Possess a strong foundation in mortgage regulations or be actively working towards your CeMAP qualification.
- Sales Experience: Ideally, experience working in a financial or customer-focused environment will be a plus.
- Self-Motivated and Disciplined: Thrive in a remote work environment and manage your own schedule effectively.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Build rapport, explain complex financial concepts clearly, and inspire confidence in clients.
- Clean Credit History and Professional Demeanour: Maintain a strong financial profile and uphold high ethical standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for occasional travel to meet clients or attend training events.
